Orca Café Magazine — A Self-Designed Editorial Project
When I began creating this project, I wanted to challenge myself to design something that combined my love for storytelling, visual design, and local culture. Orca Magazine is a self-initiated editorial concept inspired by Orca Coffee Room, a specialty café in Suwon that I often visit.
I gathered real information and imagery from the café’s public Instagram page and took some of my own photographs to complete the set. Then, I curated, wrote, and formatted the entire magazine—from layout and typography to photo editing and narrative flow.
The result is a mini magazine that captures the cozy, refined essence of Orca: their devotion to high-quality coffee, their partnerships with other roasters, and the quiet comfort of their space. This project is part of my growing creative portfolio and represents my interest in visual branding, editorial design, and storytelling through lifestyle content.

Orca Café 매거진 — 직접 디자인한 에디토리얼 프로젝트
이 프로젝트를 시작할 때, 저는 제가 좋아하는 스토리텔링, 비주얼 디자인, 그리고 로컬 문화를 하나로 담은 작업을 만들어보고 싶었습니다.
Orca Magazine은 제가 자주 방문하는 수원의 스페셜티 카페 Orca Coffee Room에서 영감을 받아 직접 기획하고 디자인한 개인 프로젝트입니다.
카페의 공식 인스타그램 페이지에서 공개된 정보를 참고하고, 직접 촬영한 사진을 함께 사용해 전체 콘텐츠를 구성했습니다.
레이아웃, 타이포그래피, 사진 보정, 그리고 내러티브 흐름까지 — 모든 과정을 스스로 기획하고 편집했습니다.
그 결과, Orca가 지닌 따뜻하고 세련된 분위기, 고품질 커피에 대한 열정, 그리고 조용하고 편안한 공간의 감성을 담은 미니 매거진이 완성되었습니다.
이 프로젝트는 제 크리에이티브 포트폴리오의 일부로, 비주얼 브랜딩과 에디토리얼 디자인, 그리고 라이프스타일 콘텐츠를 통한 스토리텔링에 대한 제 관심을 보여줍니다.
